OneMetal Music: Shortly before The Wildhearts one-off gig, on the 21st of December, at Wulfrun Hall in Wolverhampton, OneMetal.com caught up with The Wildhearts fabulously charismatic lead guitarist, CJ.

"The proudest I’ve been of The Wildhearts is over the last six weeks, just working on the album and getting in the studio, and making this great piece of music, which will come out in May, and we just know that when people hear the album, well, it’s the last thing they’ll expect, they’re expecting this band of coked out, smacked out, alcoholics, making this three chord rock n roll band, they are going to be really, really shocked."

OneMetal Music: With seven studio albums behind them the Pop rock/pop punk force that is Bowling For Soup has come a long way from there Wichita Falls, Texas roots. And now they have even scored an interview with OneMetal.com. Mark Wrigley finds out more, including how they see there chance of braking into the movies...

OneMetal Music: Fei Comodo are an up and coming bunch of noiseniks hailing from Essex. With their sound having elements of Screamo and Hardcore, combined with choruses as catchy as the flu at Christmas time and technical riffery the guys are carving a name for themselves within the metal scene. Onemetal decided we needed to give these guys a grilling so we sent in our own grill merchant, Mark Wrigley, who grabbed the following from bassist Jay Styler and sticksman Rob Clemson

"We played to a hall full of dance/hip-hop loving middle-aged chavs one time. That was scary as hell! You should have seen their faces..."

OneMetal Music: Californian hard rock band Seven Stitches is fronted by the spectacular vocalist Sammy Allen. Backed up with a band comprising former members of Suicidal Tendencies, Infectious Grooves, Kelly Osbourne, Manhole, Tura Satana and Everlast, this hard yet melodic sound is packed with a passion fueled vocals and lyrics.

"In the Rock world, there are very few that can hit the notes that Sammy can hit... one of them being Amy Lee. Therefore, I think the comparison is way off. Sammy has developed a style of her own and our music is MUCH harder."

OneMetal Music: Legendary Ska-punker’s Capdown have been about since most of us were sitting around in parks with bottles of white lighting, talking about how great they are live. After a long break from touring, and at the start of the promotion of their third studio album, aided by a Kerrang! Most Wanted tour, Capdown finally took to the road to remind us all of our miss-spent youth, and just why they are one of the best live British bands around.

"Some girl propositioned me and I turned her down, then she came back to see if I’d be more willing if it was involving the bass player as well. I don’t know how she thought that would make it more appealing, but that really freaked me out to be honest, so yeah I ran from that as fast as I could, the thoughts still in my mind, it’s slightly disturbing."

OneMetal Music: 80’s style intoxicated Rock Gods Sweet Seduction talk to Danni Rose and Matt Dobson about the music, the gigs, the girls and there professional approach.

"... They (Randii and Danni) were playing a different song in a different time signature, in a different key to the rest of the band.."

OneMetal Music: Being a heady mix of Refused meets Jimmy Eat World, Disco Ensemble are perhaps Finland’s best kept secret. Guitarist Jussi Ylikoski spilled the beans to Chris Lake-Benson.

"...I have to say Metallica were the biggest influence for me, they’re the reason why I play guitar. I used to be late from school because I was practicing Metallica solos. But later on, bands like Snapcase, Helmet and all these other bands…."

OneMetal Music: Patti Plinko, a Buddhist nun and alternative pin-up girl with aspirations to be a fireman. Now, with her boy, she is making modern Blues and Bluegrass inspired music. Danni Rose talks to the is remarkable lady.

"Our intention is to create the magic that emanates from the early Blues and Bluegrass recordings, where the priority is given to the tale and emotion of telling it, rather than technique."

OneMetal Music: No, not Face from the A-team, but an up-and-coming new band.

"... normally when I take my top off there are comments on my man boobs."

OneMetal Music: Joseph Clohessy talks to Paul Mahon about The Answer, and what it was like to play at the Phill Lynott (Thin Lizzy Bassist) Memorial gig in Dublin.

"...when we opened the case there was still rust and sweat on the strings. It was a very special moment."

OneMetal Music: We catch up with Getamped at Carling Academy in Birmingham, and talk about growing up living in the Middle East, and covering a classic from the The Police.

"Tim was just messing around with a kind of spacey riff and I started singing the lyrics from ‘Walking on the Moon’ and it fitted well."

In OneMetal Music: Linchpin get grilled and they show us just how cool they can be when faced with a rock legend.

"We were walking down a corridor and we saw him walking the other way, I was like “Wow it’s Dave Grohl” and just ran over and hugged him."
