Lovers of low-budget schlock and gore, this is your lucky day. Troma, renowned makers of such films as The Toxic Avenger, Tromeo and Juliet and, of course, Poultrygeist: Night Of The Chicken Dead! have made a huge chunk of their back catalogue available on YouTube.
Joking aside, Lloyd Kaufman’s Troma studios have been putting out cheap-but-knowing horror films for years, and so this is a treasure trove for the gorehound. Also included are films that Troma distribute, like the very first zombie film, 1932′s White Zombie, and Abbott and Costello movies, so keen horror nerds can even learn something. Sadly, Surf Nazis Must Die! is not yet available, but you can’t have everything.

I seem to remember Surf Nazis Must Die! is almost unwatchable, as is the equally well titled A Nymphoid Barbarian in Dinosaur Hell. They had a habit of sticking hilarious and awesome titles on absolute dross so that idiots (like me) would watch them. Still, this is an excellent thing to do and an easy way for me to fill in some of the gaps in my Troma knowledge.

I actually saw a copy of ‘A Nymphoid Barbarian in Dinosaur Hell’ on the shelf in the shop I work at the other day. I nearly had to be physically restrained from purchasing it on the basis of the title alone.
