Sir, You Are Being Hunted is an odd game. It’s a very, very British game too.

Hordes of tweed-clad robots stalk humans for sport over swathes of a procedurally-generated British countryside. You, as one of these humans, must evade them. You can fight back with traps and guns, but a straight-up firefight will likely end up with your death.

The first trailer shows the atmosphere the developers, Big Robot, are shooting for – a blend of Hammer Horror and good old-fashioned British eccentricity. If the developers weren’t quite so open in their adoration of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R games, Sir could be a follow-up to Spectrum / C64 classic The Sentinel.

Sir, You Are Being Hunted will release in 2013 for Windows, Mac and Linux
