You know the old saying – photos revealing the costumes of anticipated superhero flicks are like buses. You wait ages for one, then two turn up at once.
First up is Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man, looking as bruised and battered as poor old Toby Maguire always wound up by by act 3. No mask in this shot, Marvel seem to be teasing us with that, but you get a good idea of the rest of the costume.
Next is Captain America, AKA Johnny Storm, AKA Lucas Lee, AKA Chris Evans, a man on a mission to appear in every single comic adaptation ever made. We’ve seen little bits of concept art and some wide shots, but this is the best look at the costume as a whole. There are also some HYDRA agents stood in the background, looking mean.
What do you think? Are these movies now doomed to failure, or do these pass muster? Let us know in the comments. Larger versions in the gallery below.

I may be biased but I reckon Cap’s suit is marred only by the inclusion of a visible portion of Chris Evans’ face. As an outfit though, it looks pretty rugged and ready for baddie-bashing…
