Apple’s iBooks: Comics, Graphic Novels and Manga!

Coming April 3rd… The revolutionary new iPad from Apple. This new product will allow the user to manipulate a large multi touch screen to do anything from watch youtube videos, listen to music and check their emails. There will be over 150,000 different applications to choose from as well as the ability to read a variety of iBooks.

It has now been revealed that 20 categories for books have been added to the iBookstore, which include “Comics and Graphic Novels” as well as sub-categories such as Manga! The iPad is clearly cabable to support graphic reading, however the question is how this will work with other third party applications who will be making their own deals with publishers. It is yet to be revealed whether Apple is striking deals with comic publishers directly.
