OneMetal.com NEWS:
Bioshock 2 Launch Trailer Surfaces

Who needs flowers and chocolate? Say, “I love you,” to your honey with Rapture’s violent bedlam. Okay, too much.

In North America the Bioshock 2 (2007 Game of the Year sequel) launch trailer recently washed up on Jimmy Fallon’s Late Night television show. Cruising ten years ahead, players don the Big Daddy suit and search the treacherous fallen utopia for Big Sister, a dangerous menace abducting girls from Atlantic shores. First-person shooter combat and multi-player mayhem culminate in an all new underwater mission developed by 2K Marin and 2K Australia, Digital Extremes, and 2K China.

“One of the most exciting aspects of the original BioShock was how our fans responded with adoration for the game, from creating homemade Big Daddy suits to their own BioShock-inspired art and videos,” said 2K president Christoph Hartmann. “We felt it was only fitting to reach out to those passionate fans with nationwide Return to Rapture midnight openings where they can pick up their copy of BioShock 2 as early as possible.”

The alluded midnight openings pertain to the 2,500-plus GameStop and Best Buy stores that will supply pre-order customers two bonus multi-player characters: Blanche the Actress and Zigo the Fisherman.

Targeting mature audiences, Bioshock 2 splices up the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Microsoft Windows systems next Tuesday. A little early for Valentine’s Day, but perfect romantic bonding … erm, we’re sure.

I couldn’t help but think though.. how awesome is it going to be when in-game content looks that awesome …not long before that happens I don’t think …not long at all.
