Live events are never really work on-line.. and well the Download Festival 2010 launch was no exception. As the dramatic finale seconds ticked away, the jumpy box with a timer was replaced by… a jumpy box with out a time and a message to check back soon.

And finally…

And the bottom line?
AC/DC
Them Crooked Vultures
Deftones
Stone Temple Pilots
Bullet for my Valentine
Megadeth
Motorhead
WolfMother
Volbeat
Returning to Donington Park from June 11th – 13th 2010, Download Festival will this year be celebrating 30 years of rock at the prestigious site, commemorating the very first Monsters of Rock Festival that took place way back in 1980.
Tickets for this year’s Download go on presale to all Download subscribers at 9am on Thursday.
I shall leave the comments to you.

Philip Whitehouse says:
AC/DC – the best live band I have ever seen. They’re not even my favourite band – that would be Opeth, But still, I’ve seen Opeth live 5 times, and they have never put on as exciting a performance as I saw from AC/DC at the Milton Keynes bowl. I am so going to this festival, and I highly recommend that fellow OneMetallers join me for a weekend of drunken debauchery and metallic camaderie.
Stephanie Carmichael says:
What an awesome list! Too bad I live in the US and am poor!
Fintan Keevans says:
hahaha download sucks soo much what a crap line up
Mark Wrigley says:
@Fintan … seriously… thats a crap line up ? Are you deaf or just trying to wind me up ? AC/DC, Megadeth, Deftones, Motorhead, STP and Volbeat… that alone is immense.
Serious metal fail mate, serious metal fail.
Philip Whitehouse says:
It’s definitely one of the strongest opening line-up announcements there’s been in a few years (I’ve been to every Download except for last year), and in my experience, the really exciting, underground/extreme acts don’t tend to get announced until the last month or so before the festival itself.
Hannah Capocci says:
I’ve never been download… now considering!

Philip Whitehouse says:
Six! Six, seven! The neighbour of the beast!
I reckon all OneMetal staff should go to Download – we could set up Camp OneMetal, the rockingest camp in all of Donington.
