Creed are back, and they’re ‘Overcome’

November 2nd marks the return of Messers Stapp, Tremonti, Phillips and Marshall collectively flying under the Creed banner. The new album entitled ‘Full Circle’ is the band’s first album of new material since the release of Weathered in November 2001. The first single ‘Overcome’ follows on November 9th and shows us what Creed are bringing back to the rock circuit.

After three, multi-platinum albums in 1996’s My Own Prison (6million), 1999’s Human Clay (11 million) and 2001’s Weathered (6 million), the last 2 debuting at #1 on the Billboard Top 200, selling a total of more than 26 million in the US alone, Creed had hit a roadblock and disbanded in what turned into an acrimonious split that left lead single Scott Stapp on opposite sides to his band mates; Stapp pursuing his solo career, his fellow band mates forming Alter Bridge.

Reconciliation followed a meeting at an Orlando hotel and a decision for Creed to tour with its original line up was made with the reunited band quickly re-entering the studio with noted producer Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance, Motorhead, Papa Roach). The result? a renewed sound but with the band’s brand of melodic rock, anthemic choruses and wide-screen canvass simultaneously harking back to the prime and pointing to the future, or at least thats what we hope.

‘Overcome’ will be released on download format on November 9 and ‘Full Circle’ will be released on CD and CD/DVD deluxe edition on November 2
