Jake West’s ‘zombie’ comedy horror has Danny Dyer, Stephen Graham and Noel Clarke among others escaping London and, for the most part, grief from there respective partners. There chosen location for there lads weekend is a small isolated village, just outside London. Upon arrival they quickly discover that all the women in this small village have, in-fact, been turned into zombies. There, you see that… you see the irony there… yep they went and swapped one lot of ‘women trouble’ for another!… yeah… that’s irony that is. On the upside however almost all the women in this village are inexplicably hot, and for some reason were wearing some kinky and revealing outfits at the time of there zombification. So that’s good.
As you might expect the characters are less than puddle deep, everyone has ‘Match Of The Day’ ringtone, Danny Dyer calls a barmaid a slag and there is a speech at the end about men needing to be men and how women are inherently really unfair to us on some level. There seems to be far too many characters, and far too little plot. ‘Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels’ meets ‘Shaun of the Dead’ with non of the charm or wit of either movie. Perhaps I am being unfair, It certainly never tries to be clever; it sets its bar low and takes a good run up. But it despite minimal exceptions it commits the unforgivable sin of being quite boring, and a little too ridiculous to be entertaining.
A silly no-brainier (zombie pun intended), might be a good background movie, but not one you need to pay any real attention to. This is no Shaun of the Dead.

Philip Whitehouse says:
Started watching this round a friend’s house the other day – didn’t get very far into it, as it was around 5am and I needed to shuffle off to bed, but from what I saw, it did seem to be a fairly witless and borderline misogynistic Shaun Of The Dead rip-off..
