In what can only be taken as a huge middle finger to the Republic of China, democratic Taiwan have enlisted the help of Transformers as part of its military defence force; although for massive Intellectual Property purposes we couldn’t see or confirm whether they’re Autobots or Decepticons.
Of course, those crafty Taiwanese are attempting to ride the wave of the extremely poor ‘bunch of robots fighting’ / ‘oiled up Megan Fox’ fest that was ‘Transformers 2 : Revenge of the Fallen’, in order to capture the imagination of youth to promote military service.
Whether actual military service holds up to the reality of the video is another thing and it does beg the question, what happened to the people inside those machines during the transformation? Director of the Transformers films, Michael Bay, described the advertisement as saying…

Something I’m guessing that most people will be saying when Transformers 3 is released sometime in 2011, which Bay has been confirmed to direct and he is currently stifling rumours of that Megan Fox’s character, Mikaela Banes, might be killed off! Whether this is due to be inside of Optimus Prime during his transformation or due to an overdose of too much spray-on tan is something we’ll have to wait for…
